Privacy Policy
The Bookable Actor. Effective October 26, 2026. Published by The Winnipeg Actors Academy Inc., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The short version. The Bookable Actor keeps your audition log on your phone. We don’t have your data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no advertising or analytics in the app.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter (projects, dates, characters, casting offices, notes, goals, and any attached sides such as PDFs or photos) is stored only on your device. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app or lose your phone, this information is deleted with it unless you made a backup yourself.
Information you choose to share
- Backups and exports. When you tap “Back up now”, “Track record PDF” or “Share this card”, the app creates a file and opens your phone’s share menu. Where that file goes (Files, Google Drive, email, a message) is your choice, and is then governed by that service’s terms.
- Feedback email. If you tap “Send feedback”, your email app opens with the app version and phone type filled in. It is only sent if you send it.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Photos and camera, only when you attach pictures of your sides.
- Files, only when you choose a file to attach or a backup to restore.
- Notifications, to remind you of self-tape deadlines and follow-ups. Reminders are created and delivered on your phone.
- Calendar, only when you tap “Add to calendar”. The app adds an event; it does not read your other events.
You can change these any time in your phone’s settings.
Purchases
If you subscribe to Pro, the payment is handled by Apple or Google. We do not see your card details. A subscription service provider (RevenueCat) receives an anonymous purchase identifier to confirm whether your subscription is active. It does not receive your audition data.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and the app will link to the new version.
